Why “Maji”
Swahili for water. In 1905, sacred water united over twenty ethnic groups in what became the foundation of a nation's consciousness. The Maji Maji Rebellion wasn't fought with weapons. It was fought with belief that something shared could make the ordinary extraordinary. We named the engine after that principle.
